The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) examination for all those candidates who are seeking for the admissions into various IIT’s and NIT’s in the month of April 2016. All the candidates who had appeared for the offline test on 3rd April and online test on 9th and 10th April will be able to check JEE Main Result 2016 on the website: jeemain.nic.in

CBSE JEE Main Result 2016 will be disclosed for both offline and online test on 30th June. Before that, scorecard of the candidates will have displayed on 27th April. After the result is published, the applicants will be able to view score card details and their position in the merit list. For that, they will have to follow the result link and provide name and roll number information.

No score/rank card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to download their score/rank cards from the JEE (Main) website only. All participating institutes that do not use the centralized Seat Allocation Process will prepare their own ranking based on the performance in JEE (Main)-2016 and other criteria as decided by them.

CBSE JEE Mains Result 2016 Declared at jeemain.nic.in

CBSE JEE Main Answer Keys 2016 and images of response sheets (OMR sheets) of Pen & Paper Based examination and Computer based examination will be displayed on the website of JEE during 18-22 April 2016. The candidates who are not satisfied with the captured response may challenge by filling online application form and paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question.

JEE Main 2016 All India Rank

The merit of JEE Main will be announced on All India basis. However, the conducting body does prepare state wise rank list as well and sends it over to the Directorial of each state for admission. Just like score, no JEE Main rank card 2016 will issued. CBSE expects candidates to secure a copy of it and bring it along during counselling and admission.

The JEE Main 2016 rank list can be checked exactly like the score. It will contain candidate’s Name, All India Rank, State Rank, Category Rank, Total Score, Sectional Score, Roll Number and Application Number.

JEE Seat Allotment

The JEE (Main) secretariat/CBSE is only an examination conducting body. After declaration of result the data is handed over to seat allocation board or the concerned state government/institute for Seat Allocation Process and admission procedure. The JEE (Main) secretariat does not collect the information regarding total number of seats available in the institutions and reservation criteria followed by the institutions. As per Government of India rules candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non Creamy Layer (NCL)
  • Scheduled Castes (SC)
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST)
  • Persons with Disability (PWD)with 40% or more disability

Selected applicants will be provided seats on the basis of their choices and All India Rank of JEE (Main) 2016 through seat allotment system. Time schedule for the process will be notified in due time. The candidates will have the chance to make preference for branches/programs at a later time.
