Meghalaya Teachers’ Eligibility Test official notification will be unleashed by the Board of Secondary Education, Meghalaya. Like every year, this year as well, the TET will be conducted and the notice will be released with the title Meghalaya TET 2016. This exam is made compulsory by the government of Meghalaya for the candidates want to become a teacher in the government schools. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria are considered as eligible.

Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test
Meghalaya TET is conducted by the Meghalaya government through MBOSE for the purpose of selecting the teachers. The selection process is done through the two tier steps, written exam and interview to sort the qualified teacher for the improvement of the education system in India. It has become mandatory for the candidates to appear for TET of the respective state if they want to make their teaching career in the government schools of the state. The above mentioned exam is taken to test the knowledge of the teachers who will be recruited to teach the students from class I to class VIII. The exam will be organized accordingly as per the filled up form of the candidates.
Meghalaya TET Notification
The TET is divided into two papers, the first one is for the primary teachers and the second one is for the upper primary teachers.
Paper I exam: This exam is fixated for the candidates who want to teach in the primary class, they have to teach class 1st to class 5th.
Paper II exam: This exam is allocated for those candidates who want to teach the students of the secondary class. They have to teach the students of class 6th to class 8th.
If the candidate applied for both the papers, then they have to appear for these Paper I and Paper II. It is also compulsory for the candidates that they have a B.Ed. Degree along with the Graduation or post-graduation degree awarded from a recognized university.
Education Qualification: The minimum qualification is required to appear for this TET exam is:
For paper I: The person should be a graduate along with that, he/she should have Bachelor’s degree in education
For paper II: The candidate should possess a Graduation and Post-graduate Degree of a reputed institute or university.
Age limit: The minimum age limit for the candidates is 18 years, and the maximum age of the candidates should be 35 years. Relaxation will be applicable as per the government norms.

Syllabus for the exam:
For Language I and Language II: The language of the paper will be selected by the candidates as per their comfort. The language can be either English or Hindi.
The language paper will consist different types of the unseen passages, grammar, vocabulary testing questions, comprehension, etc.
Child pedagogy and development: This subject is compulsory for the candidates appearing for both paper I and paper II. In this subject, the questions will be based on the concept of development of children and their behavior in the personal and the social environment.
Elective subjects I and II:
For science teachers, the subjects are Mathematics and Science. Total 60 marks will be allocated for the questions.
For social studies, the subjects are History and Geography along with the pedagogical issues will be included. In this division, total 60 questions will be given carrying 1 mark each.
