Council of Scientific and Industrial Research was established in 1942. It is an autonomous body and India’s largest research and development (R&D) organisation. The CSIR is the National R&D organisation providing scientific industrial research for India’s economic growth and human welfare. UGC National Eligibility Test is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) two times every year. This examination is particularly conducted on behalf of UGC in order to determine the eligibility for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) Net and NET (National Eligibility Test) for the lectureship. The applicant those who qualify in this exam will be eligible for Lecturer only or Junior Research Fellowship and get the eligibility for Assistant Professor, in Indian universities and colleges. The admission will be based on purely NET Exam those who will qualify the exam will be called for the counselling.

So, there is not much time left to complete the application process. CSIR UGC NET 2017 Examination Fees
Examination fee for the Candidates applying for the Test is Rs. 1000/- for General Candidate, Rs. 500/- for Other Backward Classes(OBC)-Non Creamy Layer and Rs. 250/ for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) or Visually Handicapped (VH ). Examination Fees should be deposited in any branch of the Indian Bank throughout the country by cash through bank challan OR through RTGS/NEFT.
CSIR UGC NET December 2017 Educational Qualification
Candidates should have completed the BE/B.Tech/MBBS/B Pharma/Integrated BS-MS or other equivalent degree and secured at least 55% marks (for general) and 50% (OBC/SC/ST/Physically or visually handicapped). Candidates who have completed 10+2+3 years of specified qualifying exam and enrolled for MSC can apply for this test under Result Awaited Category. Though, candidates will have to complete their qualifying degree with minimum required marks within the duration of 2 years.

csir ugc net 2017 syllabus & exam patter
The NET Test includes three papers. All the three papers consist of only objective type questions. Paper I consists of 60 multiple choice questions each questions carrying 2 marks. It covers the following topics: – reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. Out of 60 questions, the candidate should answer 50 questions. Paper II consists of 50 objective type compulsory questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Each question carries 2 marks. Paper III consists of 75 objective type compulsory questions from the subject selected by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.
